"Brandauer attracted a number of significant prospects with whom we are currently in discussions."
Peter Clifton Reports from Productronica 2009
The Productronica Exhibition in Munich proved once again to be the biggest showcase in Europe for the electronics industry. Although smaller this year than the corresponding show 2 years ago, the quality of visitors was exceptionally high.
Exhibiting with the Midlands Assembly Network, Brandauer attracted a number of significant prospects with whom we are currently in discussions.
This was the last exhibition for Brandauer in 2009.
Visitor numbers were down at all the shows at which we exhibited at this year. There was however a positive attitude amongst
those who did attend, and this bodes well for 2010.
Reports from German companies exhibiting suggested that they are still experiencing tough times. Some were still running on 4 day weeks and business, although improving was still far below the volume experienced in recent years. Despite these factors optimism was high for the coming year.
On a lighter note, having missed the Munich Oktoberfest by a week, the culinary highlight was a meal taken on the Tuesday evening which went by the name of 'Grosse Bratwurst'. This consisted of a plate of 100 sausages to be eaten between 7 guests.
Whilst we all struggled, one person, who shall remain nameless, suffered more than the rest of the party and did not leave his hotel room for the next two days! He has now recovered.
