Recession busting appointments for Brandauer

as part of its recession busting strategy, precision pressings specialist Brandauer has made two new senior appointments to support its drive to beat the recession and be at the forefront of technical innovation in specialist components manufacture.

Peter Clifton has been appointed to head up the company’s sales and marketing operation. Clifton brings a wealth of senior experience to Brandauer and will be responsible for developing the sales and marketing strategy, planning and undertaking customer and market research and developing customer relationships across all sectors. Previously, Clifton was sales manager at power press manufacturer Aida, where he helped to develop the long term strategic sales base, and strategic account manager for Minster, a US power press company.

More recently, Clifton was managing director for Clifton Precision a manufacturer of press tools where he grew the business through re-engineering processes, improving efficiencies and implementing a focused approach to sales.

“Brandauer is a company with a long term focus on adding value through bespoke solutions and developing strong customer partnerships. This is an exciting time to be joining the company and I am particularly looking forward to refining a targeted sales strategy and developing strategic customer relationships,” said Clifton.

Theresa Williams has also joined Brandauer as financial controller, replacing finance director John Woodward who is retiring after 33 years with the company. A qualified accountant, Williams’ was previously finance director at Utopia Bathrooms and her experience spans 25 years in the manufacturing sector. Williams heads up finance and IT.

Birmingham based Brandauer is one of the largest contract presswork companies in Europe, offering specialist technical solutions to customers throughout the world in telecoms, medical, automotive, electrical and many other industries. The company invests heavily in new technology and processes which allows it to seamlessly integrate new production processes and equipment into its customer’s production lines.
