Brandauer has a rich and proud history spanning over 150 years of engineering excellence, with core values for the investment and employee development of young and ambitious people.

Brandauer is one of the largest contract presswork and stampings companies in Europe, manufacturing precision metal components for customers around the world. A Brandauer apprenticeship is an important platform for securing our long-term future as a UK-based, family owned business.

Summary

Incorporating a first year ‘off the job’ placement with a Training Provider, a Brandauer Apprentice will undergo specific training and academic education to enable the individual to become familiar with, and expert in the application of specific skills to support both the business and the individual’s prosperity. Scheduled over approximately 4 years the apprentice will achieve NVQ practical and City & Guilds/ BTEC academic qualifications to support their future growth within the business.

The Brandauer Apprentice Scheme will be looking to add 3 new apprentices within the remainder of 2014. Opportunities to follow a career path within Quality Engineering, Production & Operations and Factory Services (Maintenance) will be made available, and potential applicants can find more detail by following the appropriate vacancy links below.

Training Providers

As the Company is situated within central Birmingham, training providers from across the City are quite easily accessible and future apprentices will be based at the most convenient to their home location. Brandauer currently has partnerships with two respected training providers who both help to source potential candidates and to also provide first year ‘off the job’ training, as well as academic and vocational training for the duration of an apprenticeship. Both provide a comprehensive service:

If you are inspired by the thought of a career in engineering and manufacturing and want a job with excellent career prospects, the LEMA apprenticeship could be for you.

Based at a brand new facility in Aston this training provider has an impressive set up to cover both apprentice and adult training. The facility has new ‘state of the art’ Bench, Machining, IT and training room facilities to back up both conventional engineering training as well as CNC, CAD, Welding, Electrical etc training. The facility also delivers academic training by both day and block release methods.

Based at an expanding site in Aldridge this training provider provides a similar service to that of the EEF albeit in a more mature facility. Their first year ‘off-the-job’ plan means being based at the Training Centre for at least 9 months.

The Benefits of Brandauer

Benefits include an apprentice pay structure that is well above the minimum standard, with progression based upon achievement; Holidays up to 33 days per year; Sick pay; Pension scheme and a performance bonus also make up the key elements of being a Brandauer employee. Being a Brandauer employee also means that you will be working for a Company with the highest standards within our sector of Manufacturing in the UK.
